Anyone owns at least one leather bag, and for some reason, our pride in that bag exceeds most of our bags, even if it is old, but leather is a delicate material in terms of cleaning and caring for it, so the following steps must be followed with care while doing so.

At first you will need to bring these things:

Leather protector.
Recolour Balm.
A clean, dry cloth.
Highly concentrated disinfectant.
Flat hanging.

Then follow these steps..

Step 1:

Empty the bag and then use the dry white cloth to remove the dust and dirt stuck in the bag, and avoid using a wet or colored cloth so as not to leave a colour stain on your leather bag, and while cleaning, shake the cloth in each part you start to clean as this will help you remove all the dirt of the cloth used.

Step 2:

Disinfect the leather of the bag using a high-quality disinfectant to remove the germs stuck in it so that it looks new, and if you cannot buy a good disinfectant, you can use household cleaning products, but after testing their effect on a small part of the bag.

Step 3:

In this step, you will learn how to remove different stains.
If it is a make-up stain, first wipe the stain with a dry paper towel, if that fails, use a vacuum cleaner, then wipe with a wet paper towel, then apply laundry stain remover, and finally let it air dry.

Another alternative for removing makeup stains is to mix lukewarm water with soap to make a foam that breaks up the spots, then use the sponge and move the mixture on the spot and wipe it, then let it air dry.

If the stain is greasy, first wipe the oil with a clean dry cloth, and if the stain persists, you can apply baking soda or cornstarch as this will absorb it.

If the stain is from ink, it must be treated immediately, you will need rubbing alcohol and water, then mix them and put them on the ink stain and then move them in a circular motion.

If the stain is from red wine, which is the hardest of all, if the leather bag is full-grain, you should take it to a specialist.

If the bag is somewhat finished, you can make a paste of cream of tartar and lemon juice, then apply the mixture to the stain and let it dry for ten minutes, then remove it using a cloth dampened with leather cleaner.

Step 4:

In this step, we will treat cracked leather using a coloring balm of the same colour as the bag. You should also apply more than one layer to the most affected areas of your leather bag, and after it dries use a dry cloth to wipe it.

Step 5:

In this step, you will work to restore the luster of your bag after restoring its colour by applying a leather moisturizer that will make the bag soft and wet, and as you will use the cloth to wipe the bag after applying the moisturizer.

These steps will not take you much time, so feel free to return your leather bag to its new shape again.
